Congratulations Zya Fraser, (Class of 2018)!

She has recently earned her designation as a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.

Zya was a Dual Enrolment student at Bermuda College while attending The Berkeley Institute (Bermuda) and graduated with an Associate Degree in Business Administration, before heading to Georgia State University where she completed two degrees. The first Degree Zya pursued was in Risk Management and Insurance, followed by a second Degree in Cyber Security. Zya credits her favourite Berkeley teachers, Mrs. Sandra Burrows (English- Literature) and Mr. Hewitt Taylor (Mathematics-AP Calculus) for her solid foundation. Zya gives thanks to the following entities- Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies (BFIS),  Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC), Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers - BILTIR, The Ministry of Education, Warwick Parish Council, and The Berkeley Institute PTSA for awarding her with scholarship funding to offset her University Studies.

Zya is currently employed at Aspen Insurance Group and thanks the company wholeheartedly for hiring her at the tender age of 19 years old fresh from University. She has been with the company for two and a half years. Throughout Zya’s tenure at Aspen Bermuda Limited, they have supported her goals and provided a platform for her to pursue this designation. She truly enjoys working at Aspen and being part of their dynamic team and the Insurance/Reinsurance Industry as a whole.
